Who We Are
History
In spring of 2004, Jeff Brower had a vision to see a Calvary Chapel planted in Rohnert Park. He took the initial administrative steps to set up the non profit status for the church as initially looking at starting Sunday mornings. Through this process, he felt like the Lord was telling him to wait.
A couple years later, in late 2006, Jeff felt a calling from to start a home fellowship in his home in hopes of starting a Calvary Chapel. A small group met week after week for a few months. On one such meeting in March of 2007, a new family visited from Calvary Chapel Healdsburg.
Sean Sage, the husband and father of the family, had spent the previous 5 years as Youth Pastor and Assistant Pastor at Calvary Chapel Healdsburg, but felt God’s calling to step down. Not knowing where the Lord was directing the Sage family, the visited the Home Fellowship and immediately was pleased to find a place to fellowship on Friday nights while attending Calvary Chapel Petaluma.
During the next couple months, Jeff and Sean had multiple conversations about the church plant in Rohnert Park that culminated in Jeff telling Sean that he felt like Sean was called to be the pastor of the church plant. Through prayer, conversations, and confirmations, Sean agreed to continue the church plant.
In July of 2007, Sean and his wife Linsee began a home fellowship on Saturday Nights. Each week the Sages and two other families would meet for Bible Study, Prayer and Worship. In January of 2008, another family opened their home for a Wednesday Night Bible Study that began in February of 2008. Currently we meet together for Worship and bible Study.
In September of 2008, we opened the doors for our first Sunday Morning service. We currently have a variety of venues available to become plugged into our small fellowship. Our desire is for those seeking to find a place to grow.
Pastor Sean Sage
Sean became a Christian in 1997 during the summer before his Senior year of high school after rebelling against the Lord and becoming a father at the age of 16. Shortly after, Sean felt God call him into the ministry.

Sean began working with youth in the spring of 1998. In 2001, Sean became Youth Pastor at Calvary Chapel Healdsburg where he served for five and a half years. During that period, Sean also worked for Campus Life, a ministry dedicated to reaching youth on high school campuses. In 2006 Sean started a ministry called On Campus and started a City Wide Youth Group in Healdsburg. During his ministry with Campus Life, On Campus and as youth pastor with Calvary Chapel Healdsburg, God reached many kids through Sean’s Ministry.
Sean has now taken the step of faith to start Calvary Fellowship of Rohnert Park and is currently living in Rohnert Park with his wife of seven and a half years. They have four children ranging from 12 years old to a year and a half. Sean and his young family is excited about the opportunity to serve here in Rohnert Park and pray God would use them to reach many with the life changing message of Jesus Christ.
